Before founding WeShare Health, Christopher Jin trained as a chef at Le Cordon Bleu and worked in Michelin-starred kitchens. That experience taught him something he would later bring to healthcare: Great service starts with paying attention to the person in front of you. Traditional health insurance too often felt like the opposite. People were spending more, navigating more complexity, and feeling increasingly removed from the care they were paying for. So in 2018, Christopher founded WeShare to create a different kind of healthcare organization – one built around affordability, service, and people looking out for one another.

Dr. Jacob DeWitt
Chief Medical Officer
After nearly a decade as an OBGYN, Dr. DeWitt saw firsthand how inequitable and inefficient healthcare had become, and set out to build something better. In 2022, he founded Integrative Health DPC under the Direct Primary Care model, then joined WeShare Health as a physician ambassador before becoming Chief Medical Officer. Today, he helps guide WeShare's mission of connecting members nationwide with high-quality, affordable care through our network of 1+ million physicians, all grounded in a preventative, people-first philosophy. He also serves as team physician for Andretti Motorsport and McLaren IndyCar, supports local business wellness initiatives, and sits on the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Healthcare Professionals Engagement Committee, where he'll be named its 2027 Healthcare Honoree.

WeShare® membership is offered and administered by Unite Health Share Ministries™ (UHSM), a nonprofit, religious healthcare sharing ministry that facilitates member-to-member sharing of medical expenses. WeShare® is connected through partnerships to provide resources, community, and healthcare for all WeShare® members. Members should never have to pay cash up-front for services in-network, with the only payment incurred at the time of service being the per member, per visit, consultation fee, as outlined in the Membership Guidelines. All Sharing Members are responsible for their own medical expenses, less amounts paid from shared dollars.
